Our School Day

A typical school day at Rosecroft Primary School

At Rosecroft Primary School our school gates open for all at 8.40am.

Adults will be stationed on all gates and in the playground, ready to greet the children and to ensure they get to class safely and quickly.

Teachers will be in classes ready to receive pupils.

The register will be taken and pupils can make their meal choice at this point.

Gates and registers are closed at 8.50am and any child arriving after this time will need to enter via the school office.

Pupils arriving after 8.50am and before 9.20am will be marked as late. Pupils arriving after 9.20am will be marked as having a period of unauthorised absence.

Lunchtime is 11.30am – 12.30pm for our Reception pupils and 12.00pm – 13.00pm for KS1 and KS2.

The school day finishes at 3.15pm and parents are invited to collect their child from their classroom door that opens onto the playground. Our older children can walk home themselves as long as parents/carers have given written consent and the children have a ‘walking home pass’ fob on their school bag to demonstrate to the adult on the gate, that they have permission to do so.

Our breakfast club runs from 7.30am until the start of the school day and our afterschool club runs from 3.15pm until 6pm.
